Who We Are
Swan Companion was established to provide non-medical home care services to seniors and disabled adults needing a helping hand with activities of daily living. Our mission is to ensure each person entrusted to our care maintains the highest possible level of independent living in the comfort of their own homes. To ensure each person receives high-quality home care, we match them with our most qualified caregivers who are trained and certified to provide personalized home care services. Our home care model is best described as in-home care that is person-centered and focuses on delivering our core standards of care which include quality, safety, and well-being. This ensures that each person entrusted to our care receives personalized home care services that are transparent, consistent, and customizable to fit their unique needs.
Our Caregivers
Swan Companion is committed to delivering on our promise to provide quality home care services to those entrusted to our care. To deliver on our promise, we hire the best and most qualified caregivers who meet and exceed our quality standards. We have partnered with a state-approved certification agency that offers custom training to our caregivers. In addition to our state-approved training program, each caregiver goes through our rigorous employment screening process, provided mentoring, and continued education throughout their employment. With our hiring and training processes in place, clients can be reassured that our caregivers have gone through our rigorous employment screening and have the knowledge and skills it takes to provide quality home care services. With our track record of maintaining a five-star rating, seniors and disabled adults can have confidence knowing that our caregivers are qualified and will deliver the highest degree of quality service with excellence.
Our Caregiver Training
We offer two levels of caregiver training courses to ensure our home care services meet and exceed our client’s expectations. We utilize various training tools to ensure our caregiver skills meet quality standards. Our caregiver training includes the following certifications:
- Basic Certification: offer 12 hours of initial training and 8 hours annually.
- Master Certification: offer 24 hours of initial training and 12 hours annually.
Our Hiring Process
The following requirements are enforced on all caregiver applicants and after review, eligible candidates are required to go through our rigorous employment screening process.
- Be at least 18 years of age or older
- Have a high school diploma or GED, or 1-year of caregiver experience
- Have the legal right to work in the United States
- Pass a criminal background check
- Pass the pre-employment drug test
- Pass a physical exam and TB screening
- Provide three personal or employment references
- Complete our 12 or 24-hour training program
- Pass a pre-screening interview
Our Availability
Our caregivers are available Monday through Friday to lend a helping hand to seniors and disabled adults with daily activities. Individuals who may have a physical limitation or health condition may also utilize our services in the comfort of their own home or anywhere services are needed. The primary goal of our home care services is to promote independence and to ensure the overall physical, social, and emotional well-being of those entrusted to our care.
